They will overcharge you. I was given an estimate for an ac compressor replacement. It seemed high. It was. I got the same repair done plus my leaky water pump replace for the same price at the Ford dealer.
Tom, when I saw your review about your 2014 Ford Fusion it really got my attention and I want you to know I think all of it matters--you, your vehicle, the level of service you receive here, and not only the price but the value too. As the owner of B&B, I take responsibility in making sure all of those qualities are met and it looks as though we did not do that for you. AC repairs are, unfortunately, not always inexpensive. I agree with you--you may not be comparing apples to apples and without going over what the Ford Dealer did for you we will never know. As a Service Professional, here is what I do know: when your AC Clutch failed as it did in your vehicle, there is an appropriate repair recommendation that goes along with it to protect the integrity of the new repair. It would have been a disservice to you, or any of our clients, as it would also void the warranty on the new compressor if it should fail. Ultimately, I know how frustrating it is to not have a working AC especially in the middle of summer. To have a leaking Water Pump wreaking havoc on your cooling system too is a costly double-whammy that no one needs right now. My biggest concern is that you are taken care of and I am glad you found a facility that could meet your needs. Should you need us or wish to compare apples to apples and see if we were truly out of line, I will be happy to help. Thank you again, and stay well.
